HISTORY

The Hotel Nacional is a Havana cocktail of rum, apricot brandy, lime and pineapple, named for the Hotel Nacional de Cuba. It appears in mid-century bar books and reflects the Cuban habit of combining rum with fruit and a little bitterness. It is lighter and more aromatic than a Daiquiri.
