HISTORY

The Matador, or Tequila Matador, is a tropical tequila drink printed in Trader Vic’s 1972 Bartender’s Guide. Tequila, pineapple and lime make a simple, bright cocktail that sits between a sour and a tiki highball. Its earlier history is uncertain, but the recipe has survived as a useful alternative to the Margarita.
