HISTORY

The Kamikaze is an equal-parts drink of vodka, triple sec and lime, usually shaken and served straight up or as a shot. Its origin is disputed: some accounts place it on an American naval base in post-war Japan, while others date it to the 1970s vodka boom. Either way, it is essentially a vodka Margarita with the proportions simplified.
