HISTORY

The Millionaire is a gin sour enriched with sloe gin, apricot brandy and grenadine, recorded in the Savoy Cocktail Book in 1930. Its origins are obscure; the name suggests a rich, expensive drink at a time when such ingredients were luxuries. It remains a cult item among pre-war cocktail enthusiasts.
