HISTORY

The Southside is a gin sour with mint, named either for the South Side of Chicago or for the Southside Sportsmen’s Club on Long Island. It appears in bartending books in the 1910s and became a favourite of the pre-war smart set. Unlike the Mojito, it is shaken and served without soda.
