HISTORY

Between the Sheets is a stronger relative of the Sidecar, adding white rum to cognac, Cointreau and lemon. It is usually credited to Harry MacElhone at Harry’s New York Bar in Paris, though the first printed recipe appears later. The name was risqué for the 1930s and helped make it a bar-room favourite.
