HISTORY

The Pink Lady is a Prohibition-era gin sour with applejack, lemon, grenadine and egg white. Its pink colour and foamy head made it a favourite in hotel bars, and it appears in bartending books from the 1930s. It faded in the mid-century and returned with the revival’s interest in pre-war sours.
