HISTORY

The Negroni Sbagliato was created at Bar Basso in Milan in 1972, when owner Mirko Stocchetto is said to have reached for prosecco instead of gin while making a Negroni. The name means “mistaken Negroni”. Campari and sweet vermouth are topped with prosecco, producing a lighter, sparkling aperitif that became a modern classic in the 2000s.
