HISTORY

The Angel Face is an equal-parts cocktail of gin, apricot brandy and Calvados, first recorded in Harry Craddock’s Savoy Cocktail Book in 1930. The three ingredients meet on common ground: juniper, stone fruit and apple. Its name is unexplained, and it survives as one of the Savoy’s quieter classics.
