HISTORY

The Boulevardier is a Negroni made with bourbon, created in Paris in the late 1920s for Erskine Gwynne, an American writer and publisher. Harry MacElhone printed it in Barflies and Cocktails in 1927. Whiskey replaces gin, giving the bitter-sweet aperitif a warmer, rounder centre.
