HISTORY

The Garibaldi is an Italian aperitivo of Campari and orange juice, named for the Risorgimento hero Giuseppe Garibaldi. Its two ingredients produce a drink that is both bitter and sweet, and it became a modern bar staple when bartenders began using fresh, fluffy orange juice. It is the ancestor of the Americano’s citrus variations.
