HISTORY

The Old Pal was created at Harry’s New York Bar in Paris and printed in Barflies and Cocktails in 1927. Rye, dry vermouth and Campari make a leaner, more austere drink than the Boulevardier. The name was a familiar Americanism, and the cocktail became a favourite of the Lost Generation.
