HISTORY

Irish Coffee was created at the Foynes flying-boat terminal in Ireland in 1943, most often credited to chef Joe Sheridan. He added whiskey and cream to coffee for cold, delayed passengers. The drink crossed to America via San Francisco’s Buena Vista Café in the 1950s.
