HISTORY

The Godfather is a 1970s two-ingredient drink of Scotch and amaretto, named after the film. It is sweet, almond-scented and very strong, and it became a staple of disco-era bars. Its simplicity makes it a useful after-dinner drink, though it is easy to make too sweet.
