HISTORY

The Sherry Flip is a colonial-era tavern drink that Jerry Thomas codified in 1862. Sherry, sugar and a whole egg are shaken hard and served with grated nutmeg. It is lighter than a brandy flip and remains a winter favourite for bartenders who like old-fashioned textures.
